Vermont s annual tech jam" showcases the local creative, tech, green and bioscience companies that are growing the Green Mountain economy. It's a career fair and tech expo like no other, and this year takes place in the center of downtown Burlington.
The 2011 Tech Jam features two days of networking, exhibits, demos and presentations that will inspire and engage you. Programs include a "Jolts and Volts" presentation by IBM fellow John Cohn. Job seekers will learn how to stand out in the hiring process from panel discussions with the area's top HR representatives. Look for more exciting additions to the schedule in the next few weeks. Last year's jam included 65 exhibitors, many of whom were hiring.
This year's list of companies is shaping up to be just as impressive. Exhibitors so far include: Dealer.com, MyWebGrocer, Draker Labs, Greensea Systems, AllScripts, BioTek, Microstrain, Physician's Computer Company, Union Street Media and dozens more. If you're looking for a good job in Vermont, you don't want to miss this event.
Teachers: Can't take your students on a field trip to Silicon Valley? Bring them to the Tech Jam! Middle and high school students interested in math, science, engineering and technology will attend on Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Linking Learning to Life and the Vermont Department of Education are teaming up with the Tech Jam committee to help teachers, students and exhibitors get the most out of this unique opportunity to interact. Want to bring your class? Email your questions or let us you're coming.
