The focus of Literacy Support Services is to work with both teachers and students to improve student learning outcomes for all children at CCS. This model will support literacy instruction and learning in grades K through 4 by providing coaching, modeling, professional development and professional resources to classroom teachers to improve first wave (Tier 1) literacy instruction for all students. Literacy support services may also be applied through direct services for some students identified as needing second wave instruction (tier two). Literacy Support Services also offers a resource library with a wonderful array of books which parents and staff members are always welcome to browse and borrow. Many of these print resources were provided by funds from the PTO.
