I absolutely love to teach! I frequently tell my students that it is a wonderful profession where I learn something new every day from them. I believe in connecting with each of my students individually and finding out what their interests, strengths and challenges are, and how to make learning meaningful for them.
I have worked with children in various settings for many, many years. I have taught in the Chittenden South Supervisory Union at Hinesburg Community School and have been teaching at Charlotte Central for several years. I hold a Master’s degree in clinical psychology and interned for a year as a school psychologist. I also hold an Advanced Graduate degree in education with a concentration in curriculum. I currently serve on our school’s literacy committee and work to keep current on research in the best practices in reading, writing, spelling and grammar instruction.
I live in Hinesburg with my husband Ken, and our two daughters, Elisabeth and Leanna . My hobbies include bike riding, reading and gardening. In the summer I love to spend time at the ocean.
