It’s a wonderful thing to wake up in the morning and to know that I’ll be spending my day with 8 and 9 year olds! It is a privilege to be able to spend my days at CCS with young children. I believe in trying to make learning meaningful and relevant for each child so that he or she will bring a best effort into the classroom.
This will be my 12th year at Charlotte Central and my 4th loop as an Architect teacher. I hold a Master’s Degree in Education and have continued to build my knowledge about how children learn and best practice through on-going reading and numerous courses and workshops since earning my diploma.
I live in Charlotte with my husband, Rich, and an aging cat. Our 3 children seem to transforming quickly into young adults, as 2 have recently become college graduates and the youngest has just completed his 2nd year of university study. When not at school, you’ll find me walking, hiking a mountain, pulling weeds in my flower or vegetable gardens, reading or baking chocolate chip cookies.
