CCS received our first VKAT grant for 2008/2009 thanks to Patty Tomishot and Sami Pinkus. We are grateful to them and hope they would be proud of our good work! ~ Advisor Jamilah Vogel, SAP at CCS and SCS
Our first year as a CCS VKAT group has been really busy and very successful. The 5th and 6th grade students that joined last fall have been busy educating our school and community about VKAT and about how to make healthy choices like not smoking. We have created bulletin boards, travelled to a conference in Burlington, helped organize a family wellness night, and coordinated activities for Red Ribbon Week. Stay tuned to hear more about the wonderful activities we are doing and to see pictures of us in action.
