Bolton Valley After School Ski and Ride Program
Returns for Another Season
An important meeting and registration for the 2010-11 ski season and a meeting for parents of skiers will be held on October 28 at 7pm in the CCS cafeteria. Students are not required to attend. Complete information will be available that night, but here is a run-down of this very successful program:
-
Runs for five weeks on Wednesdays after school on December 15, January 5, January 12, January 19 and January 26. The bus leaves CCS at 2:55 pm and returns to the CCS parking lot by 8:00 pm.
-
Open to students in grades 2 through 8. Second graders must be accompanied by a chaperone.
-
Cost is $93 including bus transportation and lessons. Lessons are mandatory for new skiers and boarders and optional for others. Students that sign up for lessons must take them since Bolton hires instructors based on the number of students that initially sign up.
-
Cost to Bolton pass holders is $32 and covers the cost of the bus.
-
Chaperones: We maintain a 1 to 10 ration of chaperones to skiers. Chaperones, who ski, pay reduced rates. Chaperones are expected to be generally available, but have fun on the slopes with the kids and others. Chaperones can either ride the bus or drive, but we need a couple of parents to ride the bus every time.
-
Equipment is available on a first come/first served basis. We will make every effort to outfit anyone who needs equipment.
-
All registrations must be completed by November 12. Bolton Valley now charges a $50 per person late registration fee. If you cannot come to registration, forms will be available in the office after October 28. Payment must accompany the registration form and be completed by November 12.
